Welcome to NUDES!
NUDES is a club for students, staff and friends of The University of Newcastle, Australia.
Our aim is to create a fun, safe, and afforable way for the UON community to engage in water sports and activities such as SCUBA diving, Freediving, Spearfishing, and Snorkelling.
We are entirely volunteer run, and have been since our founding in 1967.
A community of water-people
Join a community of passionate and experienced waterpersons who organise dives in and around Port Stephens, Newcastle, and the Central Coast.
We organise annual dive trips to Seal Rocks and South West Rocks.
Our bi-annual international dive trips are coming back soon!!
Not just dive events…
We also plan a range of social events such as pub nights, trivia nights and movie nights. Make some friends and come join in on the fun!

We provide a broad range of specialised equipment to enable our members to get into the water and involved in their preferred water sport or activity.
Masks, snorkels, fins, booties, wetsuits, weight belts, tanks, regulators, BCDs and more are available for hire!
